The Oquossoc ATV Club Christmas Toy & Winter Clothing Drive provided much needed toys and warm winter clothing to many families in the Rangeley area.

I’m a little late to the party, but all I can say is WOW! The ATV community did it again. It all started 7 years ago when the Oquossoc ATV Club donated a bicycle to the Giving Tree of Rangeley for a child that needed one. The following year, Patty Richards of Jay, jumped on board and helped organize a drive that to this day is going strong.
The club’s original “Fall Ride” typically held on the holiday weekend in October has morphed into a “Kick Off Ride” for the drive which attracted more than twenty ATV’s and side by sides from many parts of the state. The drive culminates with the Tree Lighting Ceremony in the middle of Rangeley on Thanksgiving weekend.
There is no better feeling than to know that the Oquossoc ATV Club and the ATV community played a part in making someone’s Christmas just a little bit better when you see that spruce tree light up.
Marie Sutherland, Secretary of the Giving Tree of Rangeley, expressed heartfelt appreciation:

When all was said and done, the ATV community helped the Oquossoc ATV Club raise more than $1500 in toys, warm clothing, and cash. All in all, 45 children from 19 families, and 33 seniors were the beneficiaries of your support, and we owe you a huge THANK YOU!
Plans for the 2025 drive are underway and will be shared as soon as we nail down a few of the details but you can bet it will involve a ride and kind hearts like yours. Check our Oquossoc ATV Club events page for all our club activities.
